Results are estimates

Each result depends on the figures you enter and on the assumptions listed on that calculator’s page. A lender, bank or card issuer may calculate differently, for example by charging interest daily, adding fees, rounding differently or applying payments in a different order, so their figures can differ from ours.

Your documents are what count

Your loan agreement, your statements and the figures your lender gives you take precedence over any result here. Check them before making a decision, and consider advice from a qualified professional for decisions that matter to you.

Rules differ between countries

Lending rules, taxes and insurance requirements vary by country and, in some cases, by state or province. Where a calculator includes such a rule, it says where the rule applies. Don’t assume a rule shown for one place applies where you live.

Errors

The calculators are tested carefully, as described on the Methodology page, but no software can be guaranteed free of errors. If a result looks wrong, please tell us.
